Accommodation

Prague is a city with numerous accommodation opportunities.   It is not within the capacity of the small organizing committee to arrange accommodation for workshop participants.  Attendees are kindly requested to arrange accommodation on their own.

We particularly recommend the Hotel SAX, conveniently located very close to the workshop site.

With the extensive transportation network available in Prague, from any accommodation close to the Prague center, it should be possible to reach the workshop location with a reasonable commute time.  The workshop is held in the School of Computer Science building of the Charles University.  The address is

Malostranske namesti 25
Praha 1 - Mala Strana
11800, Czech Republic
and you may find travel instructions and an aerial map at http://nenya.ms.mff.cuni.cz/map.phtml.

You may use an online map (either MAP24.com, or the more extensive Mapy.cz, unfortunately with Czech interface only) to estimate the distance between the hotel you are considering and the workshop location, and you may also use the online public transport timetable to check your connection to the workshop location (tram stop "Malostranske namesti", or the Metro station "Malostranska").

Venue

Prague is a charming city with a long medieval history. The workshop will be held in School of Computer Science of the Charles University, which is located right in the Prague's most famous historical district of the Lesser Town ("Mala Strana") of Prague.  The building itself has been recently carefully renovated, reconstructing the architectural style of a Jesuit College.

The timing of the workshop may allow us to enjoy the nice sunny period, when the weather is not hot anymore, but the early fall sunshine makes sightseeing walks very enjoyable, emphasizing fine features of the Prague's many historic buildings.
