4 General & Staff

• UNU/IIST commenced operation July 2, 1992, with the arrival of the Director in Macau.

• F&A Officer started July 29, 1992

• Principal Research Fellow started August 1, 1992

• Two temporary Clerks worked for UNU/IIST July 15 through September 15.

• Research Fellow joined, for one year, September 1, 1992.

• Senior Secretary, Secretary and Administrative Asstistant joined mid September 1992.

• First Research Fellowship Trainee arrived November 1, 1992.

• For 1992 no more staffing is planned.

Over 5 years the academic, visiting expert, and administrative staff is planned to reach 15 + 15 + 15, respectively. It is then expected that an average of 30 Fellows will be trained in periods of from 6 to 12 months annually.
