6 Linkages with UNU, UN and other international organisations

  1. At the beginning of 1997, the domain analysis and requirements' formulation of the UNU Financial Management System was completed by two Visiting Researchers (Prashant Gajjar from Tata Consultancy Services and Bo Stig Hansen from Technical University of Denmark). The project has now reached the actual systems development stage which will be carried out by Tata Consultancy Services. UNU/IIST would have an advisory role in the implementation of this project.

  2. INRA and UNU/IIST are planning to organize a course on Formal development Methods in Accra, Ghana. UNU/HQ has pledged funding for this event.

  3. IAS and UNU/IIST are exploring possible cooperation on the UNL project. To this end, Dr Uchida from IAS visited UNU/IIST in the last week of October 1997.

  4. Over the past 3 years, UNU/IIST has cooperated with institutions in Europe under the EU-funded Keep-in-Touch project. This project has allowed UNU/IIST staff and Fellows to visit partner institutions in Europe and to attend European scientific conferences and seminars. At the same time, this project has enabled European scientists to visit UNU/IIST.
