1. TECS Week 2004, 5-9 January 2004, Pune, India

   This meeting was organized by the Tata Research Development and Design Centre. 40 participants attended the meeting.

2. Course on RSL, UML and Specification-based Testing, 1-5 March 2004, Hyderabad, India

   This course was organized in collaboration with the University of Hyderabad in India. Part of the lectures were given by Mr. Chris George. 30 participants attended the course.

3. A PhD and Post Doctoral Summer School on Logics of Formal Software Specification Languages, 6-19 June 2004, The High Tatras, Slovakia

   This summer school was organized in collaboration with Microsoft Research. Part of the lectures were given by Mr. Chris George. 31 participants attended the course.

4. An international course on Software Project Management, 21-25 June 2004, Lagos, Nigeria

   This course was organized in collaboration with the University of Lagos. 32 participants attended the course (including 1 from Cameroon and 2 from South Africa). Part of the lectures were given by Dr. Edmond Lau.

5. Formal Software Specification using RAISE, Maputo, Mazambique, 26-30 July 2004

   This course was organized in collaboration with the Eduardo Mondlane University. Part of the lectures were given by Dr. Antonio Cerone.

6. Course on Computer Software Technology, Guiyang, China, 19 July - 13 August 2004

   This course was organized in collaboration with the Guizhou Academy of Sciences. Part of the lectures were given by Dr. Dang Van Hung. 51 people attended the course.

7. Course on OO Software Development with UML, Shanghai, China, 2-13 August 2004

   This course was organized in collaboration with the East China Normal University. About 170 fourth year undergraudates and Master students attended the course. Part of the lectures were given by Dr. Liu Zhiming.

8. Summer School on Formal Methods and Information Technology, Almaty, Kazakhstan, 2-14 August 2004

   This school was organized in collaboration with the Institute for Problems of Informatics and Control, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Part of the lectures were given by Mr. Chris George. 25 people attended the school.

9. Summer School on Methods and Tools for High Quality Software Development, Zhengzhou, China, 16-27 August 2004

   This school was organized in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science of the Zhengzhou University. Part of the lectures were given by Dr. Liu Zhiming, Dr. Dang Van Hung and Mr. Chris George. 66 people attended the school including one from Greece.

10. Summer School on Advanced Techniques for Software Development, Hue, Vietnam, 16 August - 3 September 2004

    This school was organized in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, School of Sciences, Hue University, Vietnam. Part of the lectures were given by Dr. Dang Van Hung and Mr. Chris George. 19 people attended the school.

11. School on Software Engineering: Refinement, Recife, Brazil, 23 November - 5 December 2004

    This school was jointly organized by UNU-IIST, Federal University of Pernambuco and the University of York. Part of the lectures was given by Dr. Liu Zhiming.
