Carlo Montangero
Carlo Montangero was born in Italy in 1944
and holds a degree in
Electronical Engineering from the Politecnico of Milan. He is full
professor of Informatics at the University of Pisa since 1981.
Currently, he teaches Software Engineering in the Department of
Informatics. He contributed to
the activities of the department, acting as chairman of the curriculum
in computer science, and as vice-director of the department. He spent
visiting periods in several research centres abroad, including the
Stanford A.I. Lab and City University in London. His research interests
are in programming languages, the modelling of software development
process, and formal methods in software engineering. Currently, he is
focussing on business process modelling and validation, in the context
of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), and on UML model
transformations to support user-friendly SOA verification.
